Hire Seraka

Seraka is available to perform or teach a workshop at your wedding, restaurant, corporate event, party, or other special event.   Presenting lively, family friendly entertainment, the group adds a special touch to your event.  Seraka is available for your events both in the greater St. John's area, and travel beyond the city is also available.


Below you'll find packages and rates for the 2011-2012 season.  Please note that these prices are assessed yearly and will be changed over the summer months to best reflect the current competitive rates.

 

Performances

High energy performances are sure to engage audiences and create a wonderful atmosphere at your event.  Seraka will tailor the performance to your event type and venue space.  Perfect for your wedding or party, Seraka can offer a stage show or add audience participation to get your guests up and dancing.  In many cultures belly dancers are a must at weddings, as they bestow good luck and prosperity upon the new couple!


Seraka is also popular at events such as corporate functions, fundraisers, conferences, festivals and galleries.

Standard Performance
The standard performance package is affordably priced at $150.  This includes a single-set show of 10-15 minutes (3-5 songs), and 1-5 dancers depending on your venue and dancer availability.  If you require a more  a longer show, multiple sets, props and/or costuming changes, simply send an email to info@seraka.com and Seraka will work with you to develop a customize show for your event.


Restaurant Performance
If you're looking to put something new into your weekly line up, adding a bellydancer will do just that! Guests leave happy, laughing and ready to dance. It's a great way to boost the energy in the atmosphere.  To inquire about rates for restaurant or recurring shows, send an email and Seraka will work with you to make the evening just what your guests want to see.

Discounts may apply when booking multiple sets or events.
 

Workshops

Workshops are a fabulous way to encourage your guests to interact.  Our experienced instructors will teach the basics of belly dance in a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere, and are able to accommodate a range of ages, fitness and mobility levels- no one will be left out!  Not only does a workshop get your guests up and moving, but it gives them something to talk about for the rest of your event, and beyond.

Workshops are one hour in length and priced for groups up to ten.  Additional participants may be added for $10 per person.  We will send 1-2 instructors to your home or venue, or studio space may be arranged for an additional fee.


Standard Workshop
The standard workshops packages is priced at $150.  This includes up to 10 participants, hips scarves to use for the duration of the class, and a souvenir CD.


Deluxe Workshop (50 minute workshop + performance)
The deluxe package starts $200.  This includes up to 10 participants, hip scarves to use for the duration of the class, a souvenir CD, plus one hip scarf for the guest of honour to keep. You guests will also be treated to a performance piece done by the instructor(s)!
